Feathered Goose
$1,000.00

This stunning quilt was the first Place winner in North Idaho Quilter's 2007 Quilt Show.It has a large variety of fabrics but has an overall feeling of fall and nature in the palette. It is quilted with gold thread in a natural leaves motif. It is constructed using the paper pieced method. The pattern designer is Judy Niemeyer.

Golden Leaves
$1,000.00

This original design was inspired by turn of the century wallpaper motifs. Oak leaves, scrolls and architectural elements are stitched in navy thread and the background stitching is executed in gold thread. It is stitched on a shimmery piece of bronze-gold fabric. Because of the heavy stitching and size, it is a piece made more for visual pleasure than for snuggling. It placed second, behind my Jardin de Minuit in 2009 Omaha Quilt Show.

Jardin de Minuit
$1,000.00

This whole cloth is my original design inspired by historic ornamental designs. I love using non traditional fabrics to give the cloth a contemporary edge. The technique is faux trapunto with 2 layers of batting. It won Best Machine Quilting and First Place in the 2009 Omaha Quilt Show.

End of the Season
I wanted to show how the day lilly stalks I pulled from my garden could have a life after "death." I cut the stalks and stiched them together by hand and then attached fiber leaves that I created with various strips of fabric, fibers and stitching.

Tip of the Day

Borders

Cut borders from the length of the fabric (along the selvage edge) to decrease stretching and put the border down to the feeddog when stitching to ease any fullness.
